Summary:

The Associate Director will be taking a leading role in supporting Regeneron's internal real-world data & analytics needs by generating real-world evidence to inform, support, and strengthen global development and commercialization activities for Regeneron products. He/she will translate and execute internal real-world evidence generation requests using their subject matter expertise in epidemiology/biostatistics, real-world data, and advanced modeling techniques using internal and/or external real-world data and analytics resources.

Responsibilities:
  • Build, strengthen, and support Regeneron's internal real-world data & analytics capabilities by:
  • Establishing process in streamlining and prioritization of real-world data & analytics support for internal RWE requests.
  • Serving as subject matter expert in the analysis of real-world data and implementation of advanced analytics techniques (e.g. machine learning) in RWE generation activities.
  • Working closely with the HEOR epidemiology team and HEOR directors/team members in developing real-world evidence analysis plans for internal real-world evidence requests; analyzing in-house real-world data, overseeing real-world data analyses conducted by external partners, and effectively communicating analytics results to internal stakeholders.
  • Leading standardization of data structure and analytics of in-house real-world data and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of best practices and standards through engagement with groups leading such initiatives in the research community (e.g. Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership, etc.)
  • Working with corporate IT in establishing robust cloud-based analytics platform for in-house RWD
  • Evaluating and in-licensing real-world data assets and/or analytics tools
  • Managing conversion of real-world raw data to common data structure and maintenance of coding library/analytics templates to support real-world studies across Regeneron products.

Requirements:
  • Rich experience using real-world data (both US and ex-US) commonly used in epidemiology/HEOR studies (e.g. administrative claims, disease/exposure registries, EMRs)
  • Proficiency in statistical-, computational- and machine-learning methodologies for prospective and retrospective RW studies
  • Advanced programming capacity in any two of the following software packages: Python/SAS/R
  • Knowledge of visualization software (Tableau, R, Python)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to effectively communicate model assumptions, statistical methods, and key findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Have a culture of "Team-focus" and "rapid-response"
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Doctoral or Master's degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MS) in health services research, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or a discipline with a strong focus in the application of data science to healthcare data.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in pharma/biotech, consulting, or academic settings in Outcomes Research/Epidemiological Research/Health Economics.
