Job Details
The Vaccine, Immunity and Cancer Program investigates immune responses to vaccines in preclinical and clinical studies, with a focus on HPV.
KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Vaccine, Immunity and Cancer Program is looking for a Cross Functional Project Manager to provide program and project management support. Will work directly with the Program Director and scientific managers on projects related to HPV, cancer and vaccine trials to establish program and project goals, create work breakdown structures, milestones, deliverables, deadlines, budgets, reports and publications.
The Project Manager will work with scientific managers and laboratory heads to:
- Organize and schedule meetings
- Coordinate logistical matters
- Prepare memos, meeting materials, presentations, and meeting minutes
Additional duties will also include:
- Procurement
- Maintenance of inventory and databases
- Preparation and submission of Program travel packages
- Schedule of shipments
- Preparation of progress reports
- Task order grant reports and manuscript submissions
- Preparation of guideline documents and reports for review by regulatory bodies
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education). Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
- In addition to the educational requirements, a minimum of two (2) years of related experience is required
- Proficient with Windows and MS Office including Word/Excel/Access
- Knowledge of the use of proper English/grammar/spelling/punctuation
- Ability to effectively maintain files and active records
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Project Management experience in biomedical sciences
- Experience with Deltek, SharePoint, and databases
- Microsoft Project experience including the ability to create work breakdown structure and program schedules with deliverables

- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team and multi-task to achieve milestones within deadlines
