Amgen is seeking a Senior Associate Information Systems (IS) Analyst - Collaboration to join Amgen Information Systems (IS), working in the Collaboration Team within Digital Workplace eXperience (DWX) office supporting collaboration and productivity applications and end user engagement. You will be working on high visibility projects and play a key role in delivering on IS initiatives and optimizing the end user experience. You will need to establish and maintain a positive business relationship with users and other stakeholders of the service and will participate in and/or facilitate cross-functional team meetings to discuss and drive the use of the services and help drive the identification and application of new collaboration tools at Amgen as a champion of collaboration technology.

DWX is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and life cycle of Amgen's collaboration and messaging technologies. The team consists of cross-disciplinary IS professionals who understand how to deliver services that span both infrastructure and applications. This role will support Collaboration's key service management processes including Incident, Problem, Change Request, Release, Software, Asset Management and associated Analytics / Service Level Agreements (SLAs), etc. The analyst will engage in driving DWX transformational initiatives, while also driving continuous improvement through effective governance using metrics, key performance indicators (KPIs), and the ability to form consensus at varying levels of management. Additionally, the incumbent will execute project delivery and vendor management capabilities.

The IS Senior Associate will report to the Senior Manager, Information Systems, based out of Amgen's Capability Center in Tampa, FL. At Amgen, our mission is simple: to serve patients. Key Activities for the IS Analyst include:
  • Conduct discovery and gathering sessions for Amgen's business user requirements around the collaboration platforms
  • Implement solutions for internal clients based on functional specification
  • Develop and implement Change Management plans in delivering new or updated features in support of collaboration and automation
  • Contribute as a primary voice of the customer for Amgen's end users with respect to collaboration
  • Assist in driving day-to-day operations and service management within Collaboration
  • Develop insights and reporting around usage and adoption of Amgen's Collaboration Applications
  • Interact with Amgen's Information Security, Identity and Access Management, Records and Information Management teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and optimized to protect Amgen's information
  • Interact with Vendors to understand and develop joint roadmaps/strategies
  • Delivers business-driven key performance indicators and corresponding governance processes ensuring operational sustainability

Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree


Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Information Systems and/or Unified Communication experience


Associate degree and 6 years of Information Systems and/or Unified Communication experience


High school diploma/GED and 8years of Information Systems and/or Unified Communication experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical background and in depth, hands-on delivery experience with the following technologies:
  • Office 365, Box, and/or Salesforce technologies
  • Experience with modern web standards and technologies (e.g. HTML5, JavaScript, CSS3)
  • Experience with organizational adoption of cloud services (on-premises cloud migration), working with end users and evangelizing best practices for collaboration and productivity
  • Experience extending on-premises directory services to Office 365 with strong infrastructure acumen, including cross-domain knowledge and preferably career experience in a technical infrastructure role
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging collaboration technologies and how other enterprises are employing them
  • Experience managing third-party organizations responsible for the operational support of the service
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to perform detail-oriented work
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate proactively with others
  • Attention to detail and experimental aptitude
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to identify business patterns used for collaboration and translate the patterns into standardized solutions
  • Strong background delivering emerging technologies, mitigating risk and delivering innovation
  • Proven ability to move products from Demo and Proof of Concept to Pilot and Production quickly
  • Exhibits an ability to impact and influence outcomes and to handle multiple priorities in order to build a strong network and relationships across IS functions and the business
  • Ability to be consistently flexibility, resilient, and resourceful, working with multiple teams, and balancing work load
