Program Manager, Scientific Communications

General Position Summary/Purpose:

Within Scientific Communications (SciComm), this individual is responsible for projects and/or tasks as assigned by AD, SciComm or above as it relates to SciComm activities, including, but not limited to, report creation and troubleshooting systems. Provides support for SciComm systems and related vendors and has knowledge and understanding of all applicable policies, SOPs, and work instructions (WIs). Provides support in management of team specific contracts and budget including tracking and reporting of project-specific spend against target spend. Responsible for systems administration and maintenance activities, updating and maintaining policies and procedures, documentation of team best practices and processes and creating/updating work instructions and job aids as needed.

Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities :
  • Generate reports for use by Medical Affairs and for reconciliation with other parts of the organization under the direction of Senior Program Manager and/or AD SciComm (e.g. drug safety and quality assurance)
  • Support launch related activities including, but not limited to, building the team launch tracker, ensuring availability of all updated materials in their respective systems (e.g. Sharefile, Sharepoint, SlideBank, IRMS CM)
  • Works with systems and vendors associated systems and vendors associated with Medical Information (IRMS, IRMS CM) and Field Medical (Veeva, SlideBank) under the direction Program Manager II or above.
  • Subject matter expert of SciComm systems (IRMS, Veeva) and related policies, SOPs and WIs
  • Monitor and track compendia listings and updates under direction of SciComm compendia lead and AD SciComm
  • Manage SciComm document routings and submissions as it relates to the MARC process
  • Manage document updates and ensure accurate pull through in IRMS
  • Manage all content uploads, updates, and archival in SlideBank
  • Maintain the Medical Information/Communication intranet webpage content
  • Partner with other internal groups and vendors to achieve deliverables, as appropriate
  • Identify and escalate vendor and project related issues, as appropriate
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years program manager/coordinator experience
  • Experience in project management a plus
  • BA/BS in a scientific discipline required
  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies that lead to processes for achieving results
  • Excellent organization and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (both

  • Self-motivated, adaptable to a dynamic environment
  • Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, database management
