We have world-class cross-functional staff across the globe including sales and marketing, regional medical liaisons, oncology nurse specialists and customer account teams to ensure our discoveries go from bench to bedside.

As a key member of the Channel Management Operations team within Strategic Pricing and Contracting (SPC), this position is primarily responsible for supporting the senior analyst in the validation of wholesaler submitted data and maintenance of wholesaler accounts.

Key responsibilities include: daily validation of wholesaler inventory and sales data (EDI 852/867), Amgen SAP sales reconciliation, and the engagement with third-party vendors to ensure timely resolution of data discrepancies. This position will assist in preparing and validating the data components to support monthly and quarterly wholesaler distribution fee payments, ensuring compliance of wholesaler daily data submissions, and support the lead analyst with price action activity across all Amgen products. The successful associate will engage with segment team members to build an effective and collaborative working relationship, support resolution of key initiatives across multiple Amgen functions as well as outside customers, and adhere to compliant executions within all aspects of the role. They will effectively communicate and translate data results into meaningful summaries to support business decisions, and multitask and prioritize appropriately.

Additional responsibilities include:

Monitor contract changes to ensure operational feasibility, analyze data issues , implement corrective procedures, identify and define proactive data analytics to support the business improvements in any QA/QC methodology. This position includes working with wholesalers and internal staff to resolve/reduce data errors, participating in special projects and collaborating with IS to resolve system defects, implement system enhancements, and ensures operational compliance by adhering to the operational guidelines established by the government pricing sub-certification.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree
OR
Associate's degree and 4 years of experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment in data management and analytics experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 6 years experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment in data management and analytics experience

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge:
  • Very strong computer and MS Office skills, including the ability to analyze data in Excel and develop spreadsheet models for financial analyses in Tableau.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Delivers formal presentations.
  • Communicates effectively within department

  • High attention to detail/reporting accuracy, while also able to focus on the overall problem/solution
  • Translates high volume of data into meaningful information to support key business decisions
  • Identifies and implements process improvement opportunities
  • Complex problem solving capability; develops solutions from a strategic and operational perspective

  • Completes projects and makes decisions with some direction and strong ability to develop prioritization and completion timeframes for multiple assignments
  • Self-motivates and owns smaller projects from inception to completion
