Amgen is seeking an Associate Law Operations who will be based onsite at its corporate campus in Thousand Oaks, California. The Associate Law Operations will be a critical member of the Law Operations team, supporting legal systems and processes. The Associate Law Operations will be a key contributor in helping to identify changes and enhancements to solutions that help introduce new efficiencies enabling the Law Department and clients to work more effectively. He/she will collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, coordinators, the Information Systems team and external suppliers to deliver, operate and continuously improve solutions in a manner that is scalable, secure, and aligns to best practices.

Responsibilities include:

Operational support of legal systems (e.g., Contract Repository, Contract Generation solutions, eSignature, Matter Management, eBilling)

Coordinate and liaise with IS partners in the development of Legal System updates, releases, troubleshooting

Identify changes or enhancements to Legal Systems and processes that provide for flexibility and agility in implementation and use.

Implement content and logic changes to contract templates in support of the contract generation solutions

Maintain and manage content updates to Law Operations owned SharePoint sites

Monitor Law mailboxes and resolve or properly route requests that come into the mailboxes

Provide operational support and training of legal systems

Provide backup support to other team members where appropriate

Lead projects that focus on assessing and executing efficiencies in Law as assigned by the Law Operations Senior Manager

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

OR

Associate's degree and 4 years of law operations and/or business analysis experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 6 years of law operations and/or business analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication skills, including written

Familiar with computer applications commonly used by law firms or departments

Familiar with basic software logic and/or coding\

Attention to detail

Project management and problem-solving skills

System design and testing skills

Basic research and analysis skills

Organizational skills

Ability to work effectively and productively in a team environment

Ability to work independently

Ability to meet deadlines working efficiently
