The Nephrology Marketing Director will report to the Nephrology US Marketing lead, with scope of responsibility spanning all aspects of the US commercial and lifecycle strategy for two Amgen nephrology brands.

The Marketing Director will be responsible for the development of the Brand strategy and integrated marketing plan. He or she will oversee a team of marketers to ensure seamless execution of the marketing plan, including development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure brand success at the strategic and tactical level. The Marketing Director will regularly interface with cross-functional team members including reimbursement and access, sales, contracting and pricing, finance, legal, regulatory and medical to 1) ensure alignment and pull-through on brand strategy and execution and 2) analyze customer brand/competitive product utilization and market trends to identify opportunities for growth/optimization. In addition, this individual will lead agency partners and vendors to ensure maximum performance and efficiency.

  • Development and execution of integrated marketing plan and associated tactics
  • Manage and coach team of marketers and agency partners/vendors to ensure seamless execution of marketing plan and tactics
  • Ongoing collaboration across functions to ensure alignment with and pull-through of brand strategy and tactical plan
  • Support contracting and pricing analysis and strategy for brands
  • KPI/metric tracking and recommend optimization to strategy based on insights
  • Analysis of customer brand/competitor utilization and recommendation of strategic pivots to maximize growth
  • Support forecasting and long-range financial planning in collaboration with the Brand lead and finance
  • Support life cycle management strategy and execution
  • Support strategic plan development
  • Manage brand budget
  • Train field teams on strategy, marketing/sales resources, and new hire onboarding

Basic Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree and 4 years of Marketing experience


• Master's degree and 6 years of Marketing experience


• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of Marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Exemplary cross functional/ team leadership and collaboration
  • Highly structured and strong ability to translate complex data/information into simple, actionable insights
  • Strong marketing skills, including demonstrated ability to develop integrated marketing plans across channels
  • Exceptional leadership and coaching
  • Experience in nephrology preferred, although not required
