Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join our growing interdisciplinary molecular imaging team as part of a new Imaging Center at Regeneron. The candidate will be primarily responsible for generating and characterizing molecular imaging tracers (both radioactive and fluorescent) from our expanding portfolio of antibodies and antibody fragments for use in preclinical in vivo imaging studies across several therapeutic focus areas. The qualified individual should have excellent interpersonal skills and have extensive hands-on experience in protein conjugation chemistry techniques and cell culture.

Responsibilities

• Conduct antibody conjugations with heterobifunctional chelating agents and fluorescent probes.

• Characterize antibody conjugates with various biophysical methods including SDS-PAGE, western blot, SE-HPLC, UV/VIS, etc.

• On a weekly basis, independently radiolabel and characterize antibody/antibody fragments by radio-HPLC, iTLC, etc.

• Carry out cell culture for in vitro cell-based immunoreactivity, internalization and antigen binding capacity assays.

• Maintain instruments, troubleshoot instrumental/experimental problems, and order/maintain supplies.

• Organize and analyze data, present results in group meeting and/or project team meeting.

• Keep good laboratory records and notebooks

• Safe handling radioisotopes and good record keeping in use of radioisotopes

Requirements
This position requires a minimum of a Master degree.in Chemistry, Biochemistry, biomedical engineering or related field or Bachelor's degree and 4 years of working experience

• Experience handling radioisotopes is preferred.

• A highly organized individual with attention to detail is required.

• Must have strong initiative, drive to complete challenging tasks, and desire to learn new technologies.

• Must be capable of multi-tasking, working both independently and within a collaborative environment.
