Scientist/Sr Scientist Protein Biochemistry

Job Description/responsibilities:

Gensun Biopharma Inc., located in Thousand Oaks California, is a startup company focusing on large molecule biotherapeutics development. The company is seeking a highly motivated scientist with exceptional ability to develop and establish cell lines for potential therapeutics

• Purification of antibodies, engineered proteins, and bispecifc and trispecific molecules for assessment in biochemical, bioassays, and in vivo models.
• Identify and integrate technologies that improve or expand the ability to produce molecules by working with teammates, collaborators, vendors, and staying abreast of the literature
• Enter all data into laboratory notebooks and databases on a daily basis, generate weekly summary reports for management review, and create CofAs for release of proteion proteins lots
• Regular participation and presentation of data and analyses

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. or MS in a relevant scientific discipline, and post-doctoral or equivalent experience with proteins expression or proteins purification

Technical experience with proteins purification using FPLC and proteins A, CEX and SEC columns from small scale to gram levels

• Experience with the following is desirable; high throughput purification platforms, and/or bioanalytical characterization techniques
• A track record of innovation and scientific rigor, strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills, and ability to contribute constructively to discussions 

·         Goal oriented, organized, capable of prioritizing and working on multiple projects, and able to execute to timelines that meet company goals

• Work well in a cross functional team environment, both independently as well as be willing to help others
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Driven by a desire to create the next generation of immunotherapy based cancer therapeutics and the vision to offer cancer patients efficacious and tolerable new therapies that extend and improve their lives.
