Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join our growing Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging team. This position will be responsible for performing radiolabeling of antibodies, antibody fragments, and small molecules with short-lived radioisotopes such as F-18, Ga-68, Cu-64, Y-86, and/or Zr-89 etc. Radiolabeled compounds will be used in preclinical in vivo imaging studies in research areas including Oncology, Immune-oncology, Infectious Disease, and others at Regeneron. The qualified individual should have strong hands-on experience in radiochemistry and conjugation chemistry techniques and characterization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop procedures for radiolabeling of antibody fragments with F-18 via a prosthetic group such as N-succinimidyl flourobenzoate (SFB) or other and have familiarity with commercial automatic synthesizers.

• Develop procedures for radiolabeling F-18 via AlF-NOTA conjugated antibody fragments or small molecules.

• Perform conjugation and radiolabeling protocols for Zr-89, Ga-68, Cu-64, Lu-177 and/or other radioisotopes for imaging and
radioimmunotherapy

• Evaluate serum stability of radiolabeled compounds in vitro and/or ex vivo

• Experience in various purification methodologies and in vitro characterization approaches.

• Organize and analyze data, present results in group meetings and project team meetings

• Coordinate with other groups to align timelines and activities to carry out in vivo imaging/biodistribution studies in animals.

Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of a Ph.D with 2-5 years working experience with radiolabeled protein/antibody conjugates and/or small molecules for diagnosis/therapy of cancer and other diseases. This experience must include hands-on experience with current radiochemistry and conjugation chemistry protocols as well as purification and quality control methods. Experience in cell culture, in vitro cell-based assay a plus. The ability to execute deadlines in multidisciplinary teams and deliver high quality data with attention to detail, as well as the ability to work creatively and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment with excellent interpersonal skills are critical.
