The Regional Accounts Executive's (RAE's) primary responsibility is to ensure optimal access and reimbursement to enable pull-through of Amgen's corporate initiatives and product portfolio to achieve sales objectives. The role will mostly cover the largest hospital systems and regional payers in the Arizona and New Mexico markets.

RAE's will also be responsible for partnering with the sales team to coordinate account specific initiatives and programs. Success in this role will also required close collaboration with SPC (Strategic Pricing and Contracting), RAV leads (Reimbursement, Access & Value), Value Partnership, legal and compliance.

Existing relationships with Banner Health, BC/BS of AZ and a strong understanding of the Arizona hospital and payer landscape would be a significant plus.

Additional responsibilities include:

Execute POA and accurately capture field activity within sales reporting systems

Effectively deliver Brand specific messages

Develop and implement account specific business plans

Analyze sales trends, and interpret customer performance

Participate in training as required

Adhere to all compliance rules and regulations

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree & 2 years of sales or pharmacy operations experience


Master's degree & 6 years of sales or pharmacy operations experience


Bachelor's degree & 8 years of sales or pharmacy operations experience


Associate's degree & 10 years of sales or pharmacy operations experience

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree, e.g. MBA, MPH

Corporate Account or District Manager experience preferred

Candidates should possess the ability to develop, implement and coordinate strategic initiatives with cross functional Business Units to successfully enable access and demand creation in key accounts.

Corporate Accounts, Reimbursement, Quality and Value experience

Candidates should demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills to senior level management, have acquired a proven track record of access creation in managed markets

Negotiation skills and analytical skills/business acumen (especially in the area of resource allocation)

Ability to analyze and interpret and understand customer needs successfully navigate through the healthcare environment

Possess a working knowledge of geography and possess existing relationships with key organized customers
