Senior Research Investigator

As the Sr. Research Investigator you will be responsible for route scouting and the design and implementation of safe, efficient and robust chemical processes for the synthesis of drug candidates with the overarching goal of gathering fundamental process knowledge, scaling up, and transitioning such processes to manufacturing.

The qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. in organic chemistry with 3 to 10 years of additional related research/process experience.

Candidates must possess a strong background in the theory and practice of synthetic organic chemistry, possess excellent problem solving skills and demonstrate a thorough understanding of synthetic methods and reaction mechanisms.

Good oral and written communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team environment are required. Will be conducting experiments in a lab setting and working /collaborating with a diverse team therefore candidate will be a team player with the ability to maintain close working relationships with cross functional departments.

Must be able to independently prioritize own work assignments. Must consistently demonstrate the ability to perform assigned tasks through rigorous data collection and applying analytical tests and instrumentation in the laboratory. Must have expertise in the purification and characterization of organic compounds (i.e. HPLC, NMR, MS, and IR).
