Amgen is seeking an Information Systems, Senior Associate Software Engineer located at Amgen Capability Center (ACC) in Tampa, Florida, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Clinical Trial Management IS services and primarily responsible for supporting the Global Development Operations (GDO) business capabilities

GDO is a critical business area with high impact on Amgen's Clinical Study Execution and Pipeline delivery. Technology plays a vital role in support of this business area. Through the strategic use of technology and information, this position will help create competitive advantages for Amgen with industry leading cycle times.

Primary responsibilities may include:
  • Develop Application Programming Interface (API) using Mulesoft for various enterprise systems supporting Clinical Development
  • Develop integrations using Mulesoft for data exchange
  • Develop and implement solution using Java and Python in an on-prem and cloud environments
  • Develop automation test scripts using Test Driven Development (TDD) methdology
  • Implement solution based on best software engineering principles, devops automation, agile software development and documentation to meet GXP requirements
  • Responsible for a variety of systems that support the business capabilities
  • Work closely with architects, developers and technical SMEs

Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree and 2 years of Information Systems or software development experience

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Information Systems or software development experience

Associate's degree AND 10 years of Information Systems or software development experience

High school diploma/GED AND 12 years of Information Systems or software development experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in developing Mulesoft integrations
  • Proven experience in API development using microservices
  • Working knowledge of Java and Python programming
  • Familiarity with AWS architecture, Databricks
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques, relational and non-relational databases
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Sharp learning agility, problem solving and analytical thinking
  • Analytical skills and techniques to evaluate interpret and resolve complex situations/problems
  • Understanding of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies
