Amgen is seeking a Digital Health Senior Associate at its main headquarters in Thousand Oaks, CA to join the Digital Health & Innovation (DH&I) organization. The Digital Health Senior Associate will report directly to the Senior Digital Product Manager.

The Digital Health Senior Associate will be responsible for developing insights around and communicating the team's mission, projects, and milestones as well as for driving the team's internal and external engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities of the Digital Health Senior Associate will include:

Idea Generation:
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including cross functional Amgen teams as well as digital health ecosystem to understand their needs
  • Generate insights through Ad Boards, roundtables and one-to-one meetings
  • Coordinate across cross functional team to analyze therapeutic area priorities, brand strategy and external digital health environment
  • Consult with relevant internal stakeholders to gather customer insights and needs


Communication, Engagement and Business Planning:
  • Initiate, prepare and drive internal and external engagement plan to ensure all partners are aligned to key objectives, plans, and milestones
  • Create internal & external understanding around DH&I projects through succinct summaries and published pieces
  • Develop and drive internal & external understanding of DH&I organization via aligned talking points, materials, and enterprise wide platforms
  • Create content for Executive Communications
  • Document key operational attributes


Team Operations / Program Management:
  • Manage cross-functional team meetings
  • Identify, escalate, and monitor resolution of issues & action items
  • Lead execution of cross-functional strategies in consultation with key stakeholders
  • Lead successful and timely completion of cross-functional deliverables
  • Drive effective decision making within the team, including communication of decisions to appropriate stakeholders


Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree
OR
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Digital Health and/or Project Management experience
OR
Associate's degree and 6 years of Digital Health and/or Project Management experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Digital Health and/or Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to translate scientific or technology understanding into practical application
  • 2-5+ years relevant experience (top business consulting firm experience preferred, but not essential)
  • Demonstrated success in scientific and/or technology communications
  • Experience in the development and delivery of communication tools, such as slide decks, education materials
  • Project management experience
  • Experience developing and executing (and improve if needed) a complex process
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, analytical skills, ability to use work process, briefing and spreadsheet software
  • Proven excellence in managing multiple responsibilities, priorities and tasks with minimal direction
  • Proven excellence in operating in a matrixed or team environment
  • Successful at managing a high-volume of projects simultaneously while consistently delivering quality end-product
  • Excellence communicating and collaborating across various parts of the organization and at various management levels
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
  • Ability to apply research findings, gather information, interpret and analyze findings; develop and finally implement a logical and strategic plan of action
