The Supply Chain Senior Manager - Operations Improvements - reports directly to the Director of Supply Chain Excellence organization. The role will drive continuous improvement to existing global business processes, particularly around Make and Deliver areas. This can include initiatives around productivity improvements, changes to meet regulatory obligations, or advancing process capability and reliability. Role will initially focus on Physical and Financial Flow (PFF) and Serialized Product Traceability (SPT) capabilities, both driven by compliance obligations.

This individual will be responsible for achieving the following objectives:
  • Establish business case for change, as required by regulations or other business trends
  • Determine best implementations strategy and solution which suit enterprise mission, while factoring in regional/local priorities and differences
  • Drive best-in-class roll-out and sustainment of new business capabilities
  • Enact as the subject-matter-expert (SME) for new capabilities, then drive assimilation globally


Specifically, the role will:
  • Lead project teams to develop business requirements around Physical and Financial Flow (PFF) and Serialized Product Traceability (SPT) drivers
  • Partner with other functional area SMEs to develop implementation strategy, timeline, tech solution
  • Secure sponsorship from senior leadership and key stakeholders, develop business case, and obtain funding
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and monitor. Drive improvements until KPI proven stable. Develop training materials, conduct training for all impacted parties, and oversee change management. Act as a change leader for transformation by educating, coaching, and influencing teams from across businesses
  • Actively seek ways to simplify business processes to improve effectiveness and efficiency
  • Manage and document key decisions effectively
  • Champion use of analytics and Operational Excellence principles for change


Basic Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management related experience OR
  • Master degree and 4 years of Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management related experience OR
  • Bachelor degree and 6 years of Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management related experience OR
  • Associate's degree and 10 years of Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management related experience OR
  • High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management related experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain business processes and related data
  • Strong Finance acumen with experience conducting financial impact assessment and modeling
  • Experience with serialization, product traceability, tolling, and inter-company transactions
  • Ability to develop insightful strategies based on knowledge of external and internal operating environments
  • Ability to analyze abstract and complex problems requiring evaluation of intangible variables
  • Ability to develop innovative and creative output based on interpretation and analysis
  • Demonstrated success in major change management initiatives
  • Awareness of biopharmaceutical commercial and supply chain trends and developments
  • Strong internal and external network relations
  • Good understanding of GMP and pharmaceutical regulations
  • Experience with information systems supporting Make and Deliver processes (including ERP, MES, Packaging Systems, Vision Systems, and External Data Exchange solutions)
  • Fluency in English: written and oral
  • Experience in working in a global environment, ability to liaise/communicate effectively at different management levels
  • Ability to liaise/communicate effectively and easily with cross-functional teams and different cultures
