General Position Summary/Purpose:
The Head of Market Access will be responsible for all short and long-term strategies, programs and tactics associated with our hematology product in the US. This includes payer, reimbursement, trade, pricing, GPO, contracting and federal markets areas. This individual will be responsible for corporate office team and field based market access team. He/she will lead cross functional efforts around marketing strategies, programs and tactics associated with market access in the US in the areas of payer reimbursement, IDNs, PBMs, HUB services, market research, trade, GPOs, pricing, contracting and HECOR. This individual will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and will work closely with several departments including but not limited to US Marketing, Market Research, Sales, Sales Training, Regulatory, Legal, Medical Affairs, external customers and the joint commercial team, act as direct point of contact for JBI, Jannsen Biopharma Inc (co-promotional partner), on Market Access based projects. The individual will also be responsible for the department budget and staffing requirements.

Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of highly experienced Market Access professionals, while overseeing the execution multiple strategies and the development of programs and tactics to attain strategic objectives in all areas of market access
• Manage department budgets
• Manage department personnel and staffing requirements
• Lead, coordinate and manage all Access related activities that will help ensure success
• Lead the development of tools and programs for multiple audiences, including but not limited to payer audiences, trade and other external customers
• Coordinate leadership and/or assist in planning and development of reimbursement content for key payer, trade accounts, GPOs, IDNs and other external customers
• Actively participate as a member of the cross-functional brand team, and when appropriate, collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Sales Training, Regulatory, Market Research, Legal, and Medical Affairs and Joint Commercial Team with JBI.
• Oversee the coordination and success of key vendors and agencies to ensure project success
• Develop and assess metrics to ensure success of all department personnel
• Help to guide and shape company strategic decisions through research and experience
• Oversee department development and execution across all department functions
• Ensures all company values are met within the department on a consistent basis and be accountable to act, in compliance with all laws, regulations and policies including FDAMA Section 114
• Work closely with other departments and compliance legal departments to ensure the department meets and exceeds all training responsibilities and meets all policies and procedures

Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent; Scientific degree, MBA or other advanced degree is a plus
• Experience working in Hematology/Oncology therapeutic area and Hematology/Oncology market access are required.
• Successful track record as a leader in pharmaceutical market access, reimbursement, trade, payer, HUB services and/or sales with 10+ years relevant experience with increasing job responsibilities
• Experience with a subpart H, US product launch is preferred
• Prior training experience is strongly preferred
• Evidence of strong analytical skills, project planning and organizational skills required
• Candidates must possess the ability to proactively analyze business problems, identify key issues, develop solutions, implement tactical programs, and design metrics to measure business impact
• Prior experience managing marketing/advertising/promotional budgets
• Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive business results in a heavily matrixed, fast-paced environment
• Strong communication, leadership and ability to drive influence across stakeholders to set direction, align work efforts, and ensure outstanding execution
• Experience working closely with field sales organizations to implement marketing programs with measurable business impact
• Outstanding project management skills and experience managing multiple vendors, marketing partners and agency partners
• Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities and people.
• Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions, pharma industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues
• Ability to assess risks and benefits to make timely, sound decisions with various levels of information, and accept responsibly for meeting and/ or exceeding objectives
• Ability to travel approximately 35% of the time.
