Responsibilities:

"Oversee all aspects of analyses of cytometry data including: data processing, data management, analysis and hypothesis generation from large multi-parameter cytometry data sets.
"Provide subject matter advice to collaborating teams.
" Interact and collaborate with scientists within Discovery, Translational Bioinformatics, IT, Translational Medicine, and Clinical Development.
"Make decisions, set priorities and share resources based on what will benefit the whole group.

  • Ph.D. in a technical field (e.g. in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Biology, or similar) plus 6 years of experience in an academic, government, or industry setting
  • Significant hands-on experience with complex data quality control and analysis
  • Experience with commercial Flow Cytometry software including BD FACS Diva, FlowJo, FCS Express, Cytobank, ViSNE, TiSNE, etc.
  • Excellent programming skills (e.g. R, Pyton, Perl, NodeJS)
  • Experience with and understanding of multi-parameter data analysis, with a focus on hands-on application of these skills
  • Proven track record in handling multiple parallel internal and external collaborations
  • Fluency with Linux-based high-performance computing environments, R/Bioconductor, and reproducible research practices
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, and rigorous and creative thinking
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including an ability to explain complex ideas to computational scientists, experimentalists, and clinicians
  • The ability to work across organizations to define and solve problems that will benefit the whole. Capable of establishing strong working relationships across the organization.
