This role is designed for an individual with at least 3/4 years of experience in the Accounting field. This person will be responsible for the preparation of various schedules and analysis needed to prepare for the month end Collaboration revenue process. The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for preparing journal entries during the monthly close for other assigned areas.


The responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include, but are not limited to the following:

• Becomes proficient in understanding complex collaboration agreements and amendments, including, but not limited to, calculations for revenue recognition for ongoing development activities.

• Preparation and maintenance of various expense accounts and related journal entries.

• Reconciliation of Accounts Receivable and/or Other Deferred Revenue accounts.

• Preparation and maintenance of monthly Collaboration binders.

• Responsible for ensuring compliance with documented financial reporting and other related controls and updating related documents as necessary to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

• Assist with internal and external Auditor requests and respond to inquiries.

• Assist with special projects as needed.


Team player who interacts effectively with others. Possesses intermediate knowledge of accounting principles. Ability to understand and apply those principles to work performed. Ability to evaluate and analyze accounting data. Ability to think independently and proactively proposes solutions and understands when supervisory support is required to address issues or problems encountered. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are mandatory.

Computer Proficiency:
High proficiency with Microsoft applications is required, specifically Microsoft Excel is required (financial functions, pivot tables, etc.). Experience with Oracle GL is a plus.

Minimal Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree

Minimum Years of Experience: 3 years+
