Job Details
- Maintaining a uniquely deep and nuanced understanding of a region, including Opinion Leaders (OL) and other influencers, treatment and utilization trends, payer and reimbursement dynamics, and opportunities and challenges for the brand and marketing tactics within the region.
- Generating and communicating actionable insights to the brand team to help inform national strategy, customizing tactical execution, and driving efficiencies in marketing spend.
- Applying regional insights, data analysis, disease area expertise, and strategic understanding of local opportunities and challenges for the brand and field organizations
- Create and Execute strategic planning via a regional marketing plan that aligns with the strategic imperatives of the national brand plan and helps drive brand growth and commercial opportunities at the regional level.
- Accountable for tracking and revising the plan and its execution to ensure success against goals.
- Collaborating with sales leadership on key regional insights to inform national strategy, and continual partnership with sales leadership to implement customized regional marketing.
- Support the development and execution of the promotional speaker bureau by the development of OL faculty to execute marketing programs, supporting the training of new and existing speakers, the creation of innovative speaker content and increasing the effectiveness of promotional programming
- Attendance and insight collection from pertinent national, regional, and local level conferences, symposiums and advocacy events
- Must be able to demonstrate basic technical marketing competencies aligned to Amgen's Marketing Competency Model including, but not limited to, Customer Understanding, Marketplace Understanding, Leadership & Communication, Execution Excellence, and Strategic Planning
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
OR
Master's degree and 2 years of marketing and/or sales experience including 1 year of marketing and/or management experience
OR
Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of marketing and/or sales experience including 1 year of marketing and/or management experience
OR
Associate's degree and 10 years of marketing and/or sales experience including 1 year of marketing and/or management experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of marketing and/or sales experience including 1 year of marketing and/or marketing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, and programs or directing the allocation of resources.
- 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Therapeutic hematology sales and/or marketing, and/or medical affairs experience.
- 5 years of experience in the myeloma and leukemia marketplace.
- Experience in the management of OLs and/or therapeutic hematology marketing experience.
- Active hematology OL relationships in current geography.
- Previous experience in creating and executing OL advocacy plans preferred.
- Previous experience in collecting and analyzing OL insights preferred.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships
- 1:1 Coaching skills experience.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, facilitation and decision-making skills.
- Proven track record of building relationships and collaborating with internal and external customers.
- High Clinical Aptitude and/or Disease State Knowledge in malignant hematology.
- Ability to capture, record and interpret performance metrics for promotional programs.
- Excellent organizational and creative problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in the development and execution of marketing initiatives.
- Clinical and Technical ability in Promotional and Disease State Slide Deck Refinement.
- Experience effectively establishing relationships with and influencing OLs.
- Ability to travel 50-75%, may include overnights and weekends
