The GRAAS IS team supports Amgen's Safety and Regulatory Affairs functions within Global R&D. We deliver services responsible for the optimization of the safe use of Amgen products through continuous benefit:risk assessment and communication as well as providing regulatory and safety intelligence for the development, registration, and lifecycle management of Amgen's molecules.

We are looking for a Sr. Associate who will be reporting to Sr. Manager IS, leading Amgen's Safety's IS services. In this position you will be responsible for providing software solutions for the Safety function.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Global Patient Safety (GPS) and business analysts to translate high level business requirements into functional specifications for system implementation and configuration.
  • Perform system assessments, system design, development and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with multiple IS and business teams and represent GRAAS IS as a domain expert.
  • Author all validation artifacts (e.g. architecture diagrams, requirements and design specifications).
  • Explore the latest architecture, technology, solutions and industry trends.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Provide support during Pharmacovigilance inspections/audits (e.g. FDA/MHRA).
  • Provide oversight to the support team handling system solutions and lead multiple projects.


Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree

OR

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of IS experience

OR

Associate's degree and 6 years of IS experience
Or

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of IS experience

Preferred Qualifications you should bring to the role:
  • Experience with SAS programming and JMP Clinical based applications.
  • Experience integrating JMP Clinical with CDISC and Argus Safety data sources preferred.
  • Knowledge of large data marts and associated extraction, transformation and load design concepts.
  • Experience with Python scripting or similar libraries.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence technologies (e.g Tableau/Spotfire).
  • Working knowledge of RDMS, such as Oracle; advanced experience writing SQL queries and developing functions/packages with PL/SQL.
  • Experience with validation for GxP computer systems.
  • High learning agility, innovation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills catering to a variety of audiences.
