Summary:
The Senior Director, Advanced Analytics is a role that serves as the leader for implementing best-in-class Analytics solutions within the Regeneron commercial organization. Success in this position requires managing projects/engagements delivering Brand Analytics, Sales Force/Territory Alignment Analytics, Market Access Analytics, and Network Analytics. The role will also oversee a group of Data Science professionals with the purpose of bridging the gap between evolving analytic methodologies/models (Big Data, Predictive Analytics, ML/AI) and business needs A key expectation in this role is to establish an industry-leading analytics and data science practice at REGN covering the spectrum of descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive analytics. This includes embedding advanced analytic methodologies including marketing mix, promotional response optimization, revenue risk analysis, ROI & customer analytics, campaign analysis, targeting & segmentation.

Responsibilities:

• As the primary business advisor, consult and manage the day-to-day relationship and projects with CBUs re: advanced analytics needs. Help brand teams identify, prioritize, and be proactive in activating opportunities based on data and analytics.

• Lead advanced analytic and data science projects and deliver implementation solutions to deliver efficient and effective business outcomes and drive an accountability culture.

• Execute sophisticated quantitative analyses and advanced modeling that translates data from multiple sources and of multiple varieties into actionable insights.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to help deliver robust and validated analytical models to optimize current and future business performance.

• Be a subject matter expert on advanced analytics frameworks and applications. Drive innovation through application of evolving paradigms (predictive modeling, machine learning, text analytics, etc.).

• Help I&A organization develop an enterprise Analytics/Data Science capability aimed at 'build versus buy'. Drive innovative partnerships with external suppliers while sourcing an analytics talent pipeline and building a strong foundation of analytic competencies at REGN.

• Build strong working relationships and deep partnerships with CBU stakeholders.
Requirements:

• MBA preferred. Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline, preferably statistics or mathematics.

• Certification in Data Science, Big Data, or Predictive Analytics a plus.

• Prior experience working closely in an Insights & Analytics.

• 7+ years of Analytics implementation experience in a commercial operations setting, preferably in pharmaceutical or CPG setting

• Strong experience in predictive modeling and analytics required. 15+ years' progressive industry related experience needed.

• Familiarity with standard analytic and modeling methodologies (like regression analysis, data mining, logistic and log-linear models, neural nets and tree classification, etc.).

• Prior experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders required.

• Some experience coaching and developing Analytics teams required.

• Proficiency in statistical, visualization and data mining tools (SAS required, R, SQL, Python, STATISTICA, KNIME, Tableau experience preferred).

• Prior experience with the use and application of large pharmaceutical databases (IQVIA, Symphony) preferred. Familiarity with newer data sources (Optum, Truven) desirable.

• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

• Excellent presentation and data storytelling skills required, including experience presenting to senior management.
