Amgen is seeking a Sr Associate IS Bus Sys Analyst to join Digital Workplace Experience services team and plays an integral role in building a holistic view and roadmap of the company's information technology strategy and processes. The Sr Associate IS Bus Sys Analyst partners with both business and technology groups to ensure that the proposed technical solutions align with the company's overall objectives, and that both groups enable and drive each other to meet the company's mission and vision.

The Sr Associate IS Bus Sys Analyst will report to the Senior Manager, Information Systems and will provide End User Device services to staff in US region. This role will be part of the Amgen's IS, Digital Workplace Experience team that is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and life cycle of Amgen's End User Computing. The team consists of cross-disciplinary IS professionals who understand how to deliver services that span both infrastructure and applications.

Key Job Responsibilities for Sr Associate IS Bus Sys Analyst includes:

Deskside support process owner, specific to the IMAC (Installs, Adds, Moves, and Changes) processes and other process related to Asset, Peripherals and inventory tracking

Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Operational Level Agreement (OLA) compliance that Amgen had contracted with the MSP Vendors and doing monthly checks and validations on achieved SLAs and holding vendors accountable for any SLA non-compliances.

Work closely with Vendor Management Office on Device count reconciliation and validations for Service Provider billing for Device Services and Device Lease costs.

Planned periodic management of Device inventory & asset management logistics, including working closely with Service providers for those devices

Coordinating tracking and forecasting Device (Laptops, Desktops, mobile devices and peripherals) needs with vendor/supplier's procurement processes.

Develop and implement monthly reporting structure and Device stock/inventories including usage, trending, process and policy gaps, current, forecasted and total spend

Understand client needs and expectations, translate into service model, identify gaps and remediate or educate as appropriate

Provide technical and non-technical customer focused IT support, develop and maintains relationships within the business, at all levels. Including ability to prepare and deliver monthly presentations to key internal stakeholders and service owners.

Good knowledge in IT Financing and budget including - Quarterly Forecasting and Accruals; Budget preparation and management for multiple Cost Centers, specific to various MSP contracts within DWX organization.

Open, manage, and close Purchase Orders; Invoice Review & Validation

Provide advice, guidance, and support on all finance matters to each Service Owner

Document and Implement Policies & Procedures related to device services, contractual CCRs, working with contracts team and vendors.

Work with Contracts Management and Global Strategic Sourcing on vendor contracts

Coordinate with the partners and vendors to ensure processes are being met in terms of invoicing, payment, contractual obligations, etc.

Monitor department spend for Quarterly and Yearly Actuals

Extensive skills in SAP NetWeaver as power user

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Office2016, Office365, One-Drive etc.)

Familiarity with Amgen's sourcing platforms (Ariba and MyBuy)

Understanding of intercompany processes associated with invoicing / allocation, procurement / sourcing, etc.

Extensive Project Management and Vendor Management skills

Excellent written and verbal communications

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Basic Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • Bachelor's degree & 2 years of Information Systems experience
  • Associate degree & 6 years of Information Systems experience
  • High school diploma / GED & 8 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Life Sciences
  • 4+ years of formal project management support, including end user device services experience for a technology company
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and writing skills with ability to understand customer needs
  • Enthusiastic about technology with demonstrated technical aptitude
  • Passionate about customer service and how it can transform businesses
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to multitask with ease
