Job Details
- Lead the site PMO organization to actively manage the portfolio of site projects from ideation through execution to realize site strategic priorities while maintaining a sustainable balance of workload and resources.
- Ensure that site portfolio of projects will lead to attainment of site and GMS strategy.
- Ensure site project teams develop and execute against integrated, detailed plans within associated budget (including headcount) and in compliance with Financial Guidelines, Security guidelines, EHS regulations and current GMP.
- Lead a sustainable program to train, coach and partner with site staff on the use of Project Management methodologies.
- Act as interface with GMS Network PMO Leads within BDO
- Apply exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and evaluate activities and investments and prioritize opportunities to add value
- Enable proactive communication with stakeholders & project members on risks, mitigation plans, and any expected delays or issues. Facilitate cross-site, cross- functional interactions and provide support between sites and HQ functions as needed to mitigate risk.
- Develop and track KPIs to drive performance of the site portfolio
QUALIFICATIONS
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, etc:
- Demonstrated leadership capability to achieve success when working and leading virtual teams in a matrix organization.
- Extensive experience in biological or pharmaceutical operations, manufacturing, manufacturing technology, engineering and supply chain.
- Success in undefined or ambiguous environments.
- Demonstrated excellence in developing key stakeholder buy-in.
- A demonstrated ability to drive performance and achieve results.
- Ability to make quick decisions with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and develop synergies, across functional and business organizational lines that support company strategic objectives.
- Superior communication, relationship management, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience managing people and understanding cultural and operational differences.
- Demonstrated project management expertise (project management certification).
- Solid understanding of economic analysis, management accounting and business process re-engineering.
Education/Experience/ Licenses/Certifications:
- B.S. in science or engineering-related field
- MBA or master's degree preferred
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical operations such as manufacturing, quality or supply chain
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred
- PMP Certification preferred
