Job Summary:

The Lead, US Marketing, ADC will lead the development and execution of US pre-commercialization strategies and plans in support of the assigned late-stage oncology product(s) in the Daiichi Sankyo Antibody Drug Conjugate (ADC) Franchise. This position will focus on the lead product in the ADC franchise. This position will lead and direct the CBT (Commercial Brand Team) and is responsible for the US A&P budget. This individual will also work cross functionally with Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Global Marketing, Medical Affairs and other corporate functions to maximize the commercial success of the product(s) at launch and throughout the product lifecycle, pending FDA approval. The Lead, US Marketing, ADC will also be responsible for developing and executing the annual brand plan(s). He/she will lead the team that is accountable for achieving US financial targets upon commercialization.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the development and maintenance of US marketing and commercialization plans for the late stage product(s). Plan to include, but not limited to: communication strategies, product positioning, messaging, promotional plans, sales and demand forecasts, life-cycle plan, sales force size and deployment, sales training plan, market access plans, customer segmentation and targeting
  • Serve as the Leader of the Commercial Brand Team. Lead the team and provide appropriate direction and manage the implementation of the US marketing and commercialization plans for the late stage product. Appropriately manage vendors and agencies utilized in the execution of market development activities.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management on all aspects of organizational launch readiness
  • Lead and develop team members. Ensure all members receive sufficient coaching and mentoring to achieve objectives.
  • Collaborate with Global commercial and clinical team on key activities related to development and commercialization as well as co-promote partner (if applicable)

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

 

 

  • Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. MBA preferred - marketing , finance

 

  • Minimum 15 years pharmaceutical experience required or commensurate education/experience, at least 7 of which are in product management or comparable function
  • Oncology marketing experience required
  • Breast cancer marketing preferred
  • Oncology product launch experience preferred
  • Prior people management experience a plus
  • International \\ Global marketing experience a plus
  • Previous experience working in an alliance a plus
  • Sales, sales management experience a plus
  • Must have excellent oral, written, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to multi-task
  • Must have the demonstrated ability to be creative and problem solve and to work independently

Specific Skills:

  • Strong financial and analytical skills required
  • Thorough understanding of the commercial evaluation process
  • Strategic and operational marketing experience
  • Ability to operate effectively and efficiently on cross-functional, multi-national teams.
  • Understanding of scientific issues as they impact product development and commercialization.


Domestic travel as well as travel to Japan and Europe is required up to 30%.
Compensation and seniority level/title will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Duties and responsibilities may vary based on the position level/title.
