Temp R&D Associate Oncology and Angiogenesis - InVivo

Summary
The Oncology and Angiogenesis group is looking for a Temporary R&D Associate needed to conduct in vivo mouse studies including monitoring body weight, tumor xenograft models (implantation, tumor measurement), tissue collection, etc. for studies of liver biology and colorectal cancer.

Responsibilities

Duties include: monitoring mice twice weekly for weight and overall health, IP dosing, sac'ing mice, cardiac puncture, dissection, harvesting tissues of interest, keeping track of sample submission, and managing multiple experiments simultaneously. Detailed record-keeping is a must. Must be able to multi-task, plan ahead, and be committed to the full 6 months.

Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of a Bachelors Degree or Masters Degree and 3 to 6 months of animal work. Must provide references that can attest to candidate's ability and comfort level handling mice. May 2019 start date required.

Candidate must have previous experience with animal work and be proficient and comfortable handling mice along with excellent organizational skills.

Required: Mouse work, animal handling, IP injection, dissection, cardiac puncture, weighing mice

Preferred: cell culture, transfection, Western blotting, IHC, FFPE embedding

Additional skills preferred but not required:
Molecular Biology- cell culture, transfection, Western blotting, growth assays.
Immunohistochemistry- FFPE embedding, tissue fixation

This position will require the individual to pass a physical before beginning employment.
