  • Coordinate with the Global Strategic Sourcing organization and Access Marketing to lead vendor selection processes, and develop, negotiate, and implement win-win contractual relationships with selected Access and Reimbursement partners
  • Work with Access Marketing and selected Access and Reimbursement partners to ensure execution of services meets Amgen stated business objectives
  • Participating in contract/Statement of Work (SOW) design and negotiation
  • Identify opportunities to advance Amgen US Value and Access strategies, whether they be process or automation enhancements that enhance services and/or reduce cost.
  • Strategic planning for the future (i.e. Evaluating automation efforts, Patient benefit calls, next injection reminders, medical policy communication, field reimbursement coordination, and future potential products (i.e., instant on-line verification), giving guidance to brand and RAV functions on services, service enhancements, and the costs of approaches
  • Work with Access Marketing resources and outsource partners to forecast monthly volume and ensure that partners are adequately staffed and ready to meet service objectives
  • Partner performance management and reporting (including financial tracking to plan)
  • Work with internal partners to ensure all work products meet Amgen legal, regulatory, and compliance standards.
  • Material Approval and Compliance (MAC) process participation and adherence (legal/regulatory/compliance)
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to provide guidance to budgeting process and to report on performance to budget
  • Producing budgets for assigned vendor engagements, leveraging vendor data and internal data (patient growth, unit sales, etc) and reporting on budgetary status, and projecting future activity and outside expense based on projected program activity
  • Approval of field process exceptions and outsource partner invoices
  • Work with the field to address any call center questions or concerns, and optimize core field reporting or provider resources (portals, etc)
  • Provide key indicator reporting on the effectiveness of partners and drive/participate in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews
  • Manage implementation of Medical Benefit Policies
  • Execute field resources (i.e. De-Identified SOB via iPad, De-Identified Patient IV Reports, etc)
  • Administrate Co-Pay Programs, as well as Field and Telephonic nursing program(s)
  • Manage personnel of assigned operations manager(s)

Basic Qualifications

Education/License:
  • Doctorate degree & 2 years of directly related experience, OR
  • Master's degree & 6 years of directly related experience, OR
  • Bachelor's degree & 8 years of directly related experience, OR
  • Associate's degree & 10 years of directly related experience , OR
  • High school diploma / GED & 12 years of directly related experience, AND
  • 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Call center / reimbursement hub management experience preferred, call center / reimbursement partner management, and/or consulting experience a plus
  • Previous Access and Reimbursement experience from a program development, marketing, sales, or operational standpoint
  • Analytic experience - Microsoft Excel skills (ability to create and troubleshoot calculations), attention to detail
  • Project management experience preferred - ability to track complex projects and bring tasks to completion on time and within budget
  • Process management experience - the ability to document processes and improve them to eliminate waste
  • Communication skills - strong spoken and written communication skills to translate Amgen business requirements into operational programs at a partner operation, and ability to effectively navigate to win-win agreements across diverse internal and external partner groups
  • Leadership skills - ability to provide direction, strategy, and coaching to assigned operations managers
