The Department of Inflammation and Oncology Research in Amgen is seeking a Senior Associate with a background in inflammation and oncology.

This is a hand-on laboratory- based position to investigate mechanisms of immune modulation in inflammatory diseases and cancer development. The candidate will assist in study design, execution and data analysis both in vitro and in vivo experiments using a variety of cellular and molecular techniques. The candidate will be an integral member of a dynamic research team, collaborating with research scientists at multiple Amgen sites, and working closely with groups in other functional areas.

Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree


Bachelor's degree and 2 years scientific experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 2 plus or MS with 1-2 years of laboratory experience in a related field, ideally in industry and including both in vivo and in vitro experience

Highly motivated, creative and collaborative

Cell isolation and cell culture of variety cells

Functional cell-based experiments with human and mouse cells

Analysis of samples using flow cytometry, ELISA, MSD, qPCR and other assays

In vivo experiments of inflammation and oncology mouse models, proficient in techniques of drug dosing, read disease clinical scoring, tissue sample collection and preparation
