Job Details
The Senior Manager Supplier Governance is accountable as a category lead for all suppliers supporting ETO and Systems.
In this role, the Senior Manager will ensure quality oversight and maximize value obtained from partnerships for externalized services for assigned portfolio of suppliers . This includes:
• Facilitating and executing supplier governance meetings and operating reviews
• Supporting business functions with selection and development of new suppliers by:
- Continuous interface with business leadership, typically up to and including VP level
- Identifying business needs at Amgen for new suppliers with functional input
- Facilitating final decision on selection of suppliers (Identify functional best practices and process improvements and coordinate their development and implementation for suppliers by
- Communicating and standardizing best practices across supplier types
- Ensuring adherence to best practices by Amgen functional areas
- Liaise with functional areas to ensure internal business needs are being met
- Lead and contribute to complex departmental and cross-functional initiatives and special projects as identified by management or business need

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 2 years of Research experience
OR
Master's degree and 4 years Research experience
OR
Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Research experience
OR
Associate's degree and 10 years of Research experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Research experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in life science or related discipline
8 years' work experience in research work, in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech arena. Candidates with significant systems expertise with Amgen or Biotech/Technology companies would also be well suited to this role
