Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Actively engage with business users to analyze business needs, gather and document business and solution requirements around integrations with Data Sources and Analytic Solutions
- Provide guidance to project teams on defining business needs, articulating solutions and approaches for addressing business needs, and presenting business cases for proposed solutions
- Lead the technical design, development, testing, implementation, and support of key projects and data visualization, dashboards & reporting
- Participate in the design, development and governance of Data Lake Data Architecture components.
- Review project deliverables throughout development to ensure quality and traceability to requirements and adherence to all quality management plans and standards. Participate in quality management reviews
- Work and collaborate with the IS Technical Architects in the Analytics & Knowledge Management team and vendors to determine the best technical solutions for OIS
- Manage the backlog of requirements/user stories and oversee EDL (Enterprise Data Lake) specifications.
- Prepare and maintain communication materials like roadmaps, position papers, presentations, demos, playbooks and socialize the materials with business clients and partner IS services
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate Degree
OR
Master's Degree AND 3 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Bachelor's Degree AND 5 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Associate's degree AND 10 years of Information Systems experience
OR
High school diploma/GED AND 12 years of Information Systems experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Big 4 Consulting experience
- Ability to effectively present information for all levels, and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers
- Able to successfully develop, launch, and manage product offerings for Analytics and Reporting
- Experience managing the end-to-end delivery of complex projects
- Solid understanding of Big Data Concepts and Technologies.
- Experience and familiarity with solutions on AWS
- Solid experience and understanding in areas of data modeling, data quality, data management strategy to support business needs, data access methods, and approaches in the pharmaceutical industry
- Hands-on experience with at-least two of the following technologies - Spotfire, Tableau, IBM Cognos, SAP Business Objects, IBM TM1, Micro Strategy
- Experience with scripting in Python and R to provide guidance to PD users
- 3 or more years of Life Science industry experience focused on analytics, business intelligence, reporting or data Management
- Good overall understanding of business, manufacturing, and laboratory systems common in the pharmaceutical industry, as well as the integration of these systems through applicable standards
- Understanding of FDA regulations governing computer system validation and operation in biotech manufacturing and laboratory areas
