We are seeking a Sr. Associate IS Engineer in our Thousand Oaks, CA headquarters to participate in a large-scale Regulatory Information Management/ Submission Document Management transformation program. You will play a key role in our product team being responsible for consulting Business Partners on and technically configuring capabilities on the Veeva Vault RIM platform. You will support deployment of these capabilities during program roll-out. Job Summary

We are a team of system and domain experts and you will be an active participant in all phases of the RIM Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC) including: business client expectation and requirement scope management; process and systems analysis; requirements elicitation; articulating system solutions and approaches for addressing business needs; and supporting the development of business cases for proposed solutions. We are focusing this role will be on technically configuring solutions during steady state.

Do you have hands-on experience with and understanding of PDLC concepts and approaches, and the ability to lead ongoing system improvements? If you already gained deep understanding of RIM processes, incl. Authoring then this is a plus but is not mandatory. Most significantly you are a quick and motivated learner. You are required to build in-depth business domain knowledge, perform business modeling, facilitate process mapping and business requirements gathering sessions for medium complex and multi-segment business processes, handle client expectations and configure system settings.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree

Or

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Information Systems and/or Business Analysis experience

Or

Associate's degree and 6 years of Information Systems and Business Analysis experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Information Systems and Business Analysis experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • You have a bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or Life Sciences and 2+years related experience in Information Systems/Technology or Engineering
  • You are able to navigate, facilitate and work within a complex matrix organization
  • You are used to work with internal business clients to understand their business processes, handle scope of work/expectations and suggest/recommend IS solutions
  • You have knowledge of, and experience with, implementing and supporting COTS (configurable off the shelf) applications in the life sciences industry
  • You are passionate about hands-on work and bring expertise in configuration with Veeva Vault RIM or other COTS. Alternatively, a strong motivation to grow into a hands-on configurator role is required
  • You have working knowledge of Agile project methodologies and working in Product teams
  • You have shown excellent written, presentation, and verbal interpersonal skills, including demonstrable experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective
  • You have experience with working in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry and current approaches to GxP computer related systems
