Our innovative science draws inspiration from nature and evolution, which offer insights into cancer targets, disease mechanisms and therapeutic approaches. As a new member of the RevMed team, you will join other outstanding scientists who are helping lead our efforts in the discovery and development of new medicines for unmet needs in cancer.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Research Associate to join our Lead Discovery team and play a central role in driving our search for new oncology therapeutics. The perfect candidate will possess the following skills, experience and attributes:

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Highly proficient in the design, development and execution of microplate-basedin vitrobiochemical assays suitable for the discovery, validation and mechanistic characterization of fragment and small molecule modulators of oncology protein targets.
  • Conversant in the selection and deployment of appropriate assay readouts like fluorescence polarization, TR-FRET, AlphaScreen, fluorescence, absorbance and luminescence.
  • Experience with the development and execution of mass spectrometry-based assays would be highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with surface biosensor systems to characterize compound binding and kinetics (SPR and BLI) would be a significant plus.
  • Confident in fostering collaborationswith project teams,chemists and biologists to generate novel insights that fuel drug discovery and development.
     

Required Education, background and general attributes:

  • BS in biochemistry, biophysics, enzymology or related field 
  • 5+ years of small molecule drug discovery experience with a strong track record of scientific rigor and innovation
  • Facile with instrumentation, able to trouble shoot problems and work with engineers to resolve issues
  • Rigorous, quantitative, detail-oriented experimentalist with an understanding of statistics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
  • Innovative, team-player with high energy for our start-up environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
