Software Engineer

IR[x] is a group within the R&D Information Research organization focused on the monitoring, evaluation, and implementation of cutting edge technology that could have broad impact across R&D. The group will drive the development of platforms and services based on these technologies, until they have reached a mature stage.

We are looking for highly skilled software developers that are quick to pick up new ideas, curious at exploring new technology, able to brainstorm on ways it can be applied, prototype to proof out concepts, and implement as stand-alone applications or reusable components.

Key Responsibilities Include: Design and develop technology solutions to help optimize processes within R&D, independently and as a part of a team.

• Design and develop technology solutions to help optimize processes within R&D, independently and as a part of a team.
• Explore new technologies and identify how they might be applied towards solving business problems within R&D.
• Work to implement reference platforms leveraging new technology to rapidly advance agile, impactful, and cost-effective solutions.
• Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, and data security.

• Experience in the architecture, design and development of full stack applications.
• Experience in developing service oriented back-ends.
• Experience deploying solutions across multiple platforms, including Windows and Linux.
• Comfortable working in a team or alone.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Self-learner.
• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related field and 2+ years of experience
