We have world-class cross-functional staff across the globe including sales and marketing, regional medical liaisons, oncology nurse specialists and customer account teams to ensure our discoveries go from bench to bedside.

As a member of the US Value & Access Biosimilars Team, the Marketing Senior Manager reports to the Marketing Director RAV Lead and is responsible for assisting with development and execution of value and access strategy with primary focus on payer and provider contracting for multiple biosimilars. Given the extremely competitive nature of the biosimilars market, the ideal candidate will ensure that patients can gain access for Amgen's portfolio of high-quality, reliably supplied biosimilars.

Key responsibilities:
  • Assist in development and execution of payer strategy, including payer targeting, contracting, promotional resources, and sales force pull-through resources.
  • Assist in development and execution of biosimilar Rheumatology and GI provider strategy for ABP 710 (infliximab) including provider segmentation, targeting, and contracting.
  • Track payer coverage and provider pricing dynamics to inform strategy.
  • Create promotional, contracting resources, training, and direction for the Organized Customer Team (OCT) and Oncology Key Account Management (OKAM) teams to enable consistent execution of the payer and provider strategy including support for new hire and semester meetings.
  • For promotional resources, lead agency relationships, MAC submissions and budget management.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure all programs meet Amgen legal, regulatory, and compliance standards.
  • Work cross functionally with biosimilar brand teams, Strategic Pricing and Contracting (SPC), sales training, Commercial Strategy and Analytics (CS&A).


Basic Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

• Master's degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

• Associate's Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Successful track record of thriving in a demanding, face-paced, and dynamic work environment
  • MBA or advanced degree in health sciences
  • Experience in the oncology and/or inflammation markets (Rhuem and GI)
  • Product launch experience
  • Biosimilar experience
  • Payer marketing and contracting experience in the biospharma industry and/or working for a payer in the US
  • Buy and bill/medical benefit experience
  • Knowledge of the US access and payer environments, coverage and reimbursement, buy and bill/medical benefit management, and patient support services
  • Demonstrated self-starter, who takes initiative with ability to work under limited supervision and coordinate multiple projects with excellent project management skills in a complex, matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated creativity and foresight in anticipating and solving complex challenges. Demonstrated ability to move significant market insights or challenges through to executed solutions.
  • Experience leading or being a member of a cross-functional project team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly and effectively present information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, active listening, and relationship management skills
  • Advanced skills with PowerPoint and Excel.
