Amgen's 10 - 12 week internship program offers meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation.

Relocation in the form of a miscellaneous allowance will be provided for eligible candidates.

FPTQ Core Technologies is jointly responsible with FPT for physical test method stewardship, which includes incoming, verification, in-process, and release testing of components and final product. As a Quality organization, our goals are to ensure robust, reliable, and repeatable physical test methods support and advance Amgen's operations and contribute to patients' quality of life.

The FPTQ Core Technologies intern will be directly involved in the Method Stewardship program by performing gap assessments for existing methods to determine compliance status, qualification/validation status, site alignment, and filing status as part of a corrective and preventative action program. In addition, the FPTQ Core Technologies intern will have the opportunity to gain experience recommending compliance strategies and process improvements, both for individual methods and the overall method stewardship process, based on their findings.

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergraduate internship or an undergraduate co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

18 years or older

Currently enrolled in a full time Bachelor's Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent

Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing

Enrolled in a full time Bachelor's or Combined Bachelor's/Master's degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university

Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree concentration(s) in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering
  • Prior experience in regulated industry preferred
  • Prior experience in FDA regulated industry strongly preferred
