Summary: The Senior Specialist, Corporate Communications, working with the Director, Corporate Communications, IOPS, will be responsible for supporting internal/employee communications and community engagement for Regeneron's Industrial Operations and Product Supply (IOPS) site in Rensselaer, NY.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Internal Communications

• Works with Corporate Communications team to inform employees of news and events; engages and motivates employees so that they understand and support the company's business objectives; reinforces the company culture.

• Provides communications direction and guidance to key stakeholders/teams; assists and manages completion of deliverables to support enterprise and client department goals.

• Conceives, researches and writes stories on local Rensselaer initiatives, activities and events for Regeneron intranet. Story topics should support business objectives and sustain the company's unique culture.

• Ensures corporate messages are appropriately timed, rolled-out, cross-linked and coordinated between all communication channels in all locations.

• Publishes/posts approved content (news stories, announcements, calendar updates, photos, etc.) to RON IOPS Rensselaer and IOPS Raheen pages and publish weekly digital newsletter.

• Manages digital signage for Rensselaer site - calendar, cadence of announcements, loading content to players.

• Compiles content for social media posts and maintains social media calendar for IOPS.

• Develops and produces videos; writes storyboards, film and edit videos and/or work with local videographers to create compelling video content.

• Provides staff photography services for the Rensselaer site. Catalogues, tags and uploads approved IOPS videos on Regeneron video server and IOPS photos into photo archive system.


• Supports Corporate Communications and Citizenship colleagues as needed to help coordinate programs to promote good will and foster positive relationships with local communities.

Knowledge and Skills:

• A results-oriented, collaborative style. Proven track record of developing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.

• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and proven ability to navigate within a matrix organization.

• Exceptional writing and editing skills. Demonstrated ability to produce clear, compelling, motivating copy for global employee base; experience interviewing and writing news/newsletter/internet content.

• Demonstrated effectiveness in project management and event planning. Strong attention to detail. Ability to prioritize deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

• Knowledge and experience of using social media as an effective PR tool.

• Proficient in SharePoint, Word and photo editing software.

• Strong interest in and knowledge of video and digital tools for storytelling, content sharing.

Education and Experience:

• Requires BA/BS in communications, journalism or related field.

• 5+ years' experience in corporate communications in a large organization or other associated experience required.

• Video production experience required, videography and video editing skills preferred.

• Internal communications experience within an agency or science/technology company in a regulated industry is preferred. Previous employment in the pharma/biotech industry preferred but not required.

Title level (Specialist or Senior Specialist) will be determined based on qualifications relevant to this role.
