The Project Manager works closely with the Global Information Protection (GIP) team to provide project management support, handles project portfolio and departmental budgets, defines and implements project and portfolio related processes, develops and reports periodic project and financial indicators relating to goals, risks, costs and trends. You will work with cross-functional portfolio managers to identify and develop process improvements, represents the functional portfolio and financial status, and develops business case opportunities. You will apply standard project management methodologies in the development, initiation, planning, execution, control and closing of projects.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree
OR
Master's degree and 3 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Associate's degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience
AND
Previous managerial experience directly managing people and/or experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years project & financial management experience, including the ability to identify and execute initiatives, prioritize project resources, financial management, trends and reporting, assess project effectiveness and efficiency, conduct business analysis, and lead audit remediation activities
  • Possesses deep understanding and expertise in project and program management, portfolio management methodologies and tools
  • Communicates at all levels of the organization through multiple channels
  • Proven leadership and mentorship skills
  • Highly motivated, collaborative, works effectively under minimal supervision and places priority on the successful completion of team goals
  • Bio-Pharmaceutical technology environment experience advantageous
  • Works successfully in complex and ambiguous scenarios, thinks strategically, sees the big picture, collects, digests and assembles information to enable meaningful business analyses and facilitate decision-making
  • Leads change in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical and presentation skills
  • Partners with technical leads to identify key deliverables, ensure cross-functional alignment, and execute plans to meet deliverables with their teams
  • Effectively leads multiple projects, handles vendors, drives decision-making, cross-functional reviews, communications, governance meetings and team meetings
  • Identifies and supports business process improvements
  • Proficient with issue, risk & change management, and in the preparation of reports, dashboards and documentation
  • Champions collaboration and works effectively on cross-functional teams
  • Applies standard Project Management tools, and practices; experience with MS Project, Excel and SharePoint advantageous
  • Ensures projects/programs are defined, tracked and communicated in a consistent and effective manner
  • Partners with IT and business leadership to define opportunities and prioritize projects based on pre-defined criteria (return on investment, productivity, compliance, etc)
  • Directs project managers/stakeholders with business case development
  • Ensures projects within the portfolio are delivered on time, within budget and with quality
  • Demonstrated ability to handle high stress situations with key partners
  • Successfully manages contending priorities under ambiguous circumstances
