Job Details

Amgen is seeking a Senior Finance Associate who will play a key role in the Operations Finance team. The Operations Finance team is responsible for financial planning, reporting, and analysis for Amgen's Operations area, which is responsible for Amgen's manufacturing activities.

This highly motivated individual will be primarily responsible for developing and executing financial analysis and business analytics. The Senior Finance Associate will provide vital support for cross-functional financial, analytical and reporting activities. This role will interact with a wide range of leadership and staff across Amgen.

Job Responsibilities
  • Financial modeling and data analysis to support business transformation
  • Provide key support on multiple projects; formulate and clearly deliver complex information, issues and recommendations in both written and oral presentations
  • Develop business cases and strategic recommendations
  • Interact with various finance groups including functional FP&A to understand impact to budget/long range plans
  • Develop and use complex financial models to make decisions
  • Track financials and prepare periodic reports for ongoing initiatives
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and support special projects


Basic Qualifications

Master's degree
OR
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Finance experience
OR
Associate's degree and 6 years of Finance experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Finance experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of Finance experience
  • 5+ years' experience in financial reporting and analysis
  • Biotech/pharmaceutical experience
  • Financial, statistical or mathematical modeling experience
  • Excellent Excel/ PowerPoint skills are strongly preferred
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally in an organization
  • Energetic, detailed oriented, highly motivated with a "can do" outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
