Wireless Network Engineer
Provides network design inputs for the creation and review of necessary documents, including blueprints, CAD files, VISIO files, Installation Guides and schematics for the purpose of building a patient monitoring system. Work with project management and installation services to ensure proper design standards, processes are followed and priorities are properly aligned. Performs miscellaneous duties as required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
• Responsible for the creation of the network system design of documents for each planned installation within the Monitoring Business Unit
o Reviews all installation orders and posts all documents related to each order on the company’s internal database
o Orders necessary installation supplies for each installation planned
o Develops network and antenna system designs
o Develops design documents for presentation to patient monitoring customers
o Designs documents including, but not limited to the following:
- Cable pull plan
- Network topology diagram
- Antenna system schematic
- Network Switches
- Network Switch Configurations
o Ensures that installation documentation is correct, complete and completed on time
o Reviews work, addresses questions, and assists with all aspects of design plans
o Provides necessary information as requested by Technical Support and Repair Center
o Completes projects or other duties as assigned or required
• Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining professional working relations with employees and customers
o Resolves questions, requests, and problems promptly and courteously
o Politely obtains and conveys information as needed
o Maintains the Company's professional reputation
• Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes.
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certification in Network or equivalent.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
• Extensive knowledge of networks, cabling, and/or general construction or design planning
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
10+ years previous planning experience in a medical environment
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Previous supervisory experience required
• Well organized
• Attentive to detail
• Willingness to assist others
