Summary
The Imaging group seeks an enthusiastic, independent, and highly organized Manager to manage and oversee the operations of the Imaging team by coordinating our diverse portfolio of projects, collaborators, instruments, and resources across all therapeutic areas of Research. Our area of responsibility includes all things imaging: microscopy, digital pathology, histology, preclinical in vivo imaging (MRI, PET/CT, ultrasound, etc.), and quantitative image analysis and data science. The successful candidate will collaborate daily with scientists in Imaging, therapeutic areas, and other technology centers, along with Vivarium, Operations, IT, Facilities, and Finance to ensure Imaging team members are effectively delivering on our core mission to generate impactful data and relevant technology to further our discovery and drug development pipeline.

Responsibilities
- Manage projects involving the Imaging team as it collaborates with scientists throughout Research. Work with team members to handle project intake, define scope, identify deliverables, potential bottlenecks, obstacles, and timelines. Work cooperatively with all parties to ensure timely completion and effective communication.
- Work with team members to coordinate and oversee lab equipment bookings, animal transfers, IACUC protocols, radioactive licenses and reagent and equipment inventories.
- Develop training schedules, including conducting training seminars for microscopy, image analysis, and data management, as appropriate.
- Coordinate with Imaging personnel, Research scientists, IT, Facilities, vendors and other organizations for instrument installations, basic use, issue diagnosis, and repair. Design and implement equipment maintenance schedules, software license structures, and regular software updates for Imaging hardware and software.
- Coordinate Imaging outreach and communication efforts with scientists in therapeutic focus areas, translational, and clinical efforts. Manage email communications and maintain internal documentation.
- Gather usage statistics and other metrics to help assess performance and utilization
Requirements:

• Demonstrated history of organization and coordination across many diverse and concurrent projects.

• Great communicator who loves to interface with many people as part of a diverse team while still keeping the goals and details on track

• Proactively helpful in all aspects of the job, whether it involves communication, training, reporting, or project management

• Past experience with microscopy equipment, histology equipment, and image analysis software: widefield & confocal microscopy, slide scanners, tissue processors, cyrostats or microtomes, immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization, HALO, Definiens, ImageJ/FIJI, CellProfiler, Analyze, Amira, etc.

• Highly skilled with Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft

This position requires a Bachelor's or Master's in Biology, Engineering, Physics, or similar, and five years of relevant experience in managing an imaging facility or core.
