Amgen is searching for a U.S. Migraine Marketing Senior Manager, Onboarding & Adherence who will be responsible for leading, planning, and executing key elements of the Consumer marketing strategy and patient-focused touch-points critical to commercial success of Aimovig, Amgen's preventive migraine treatment. The Sr. Manager will report to the Marketing Director of Neuroscience and will be based out of our main corporate campus in Thousand Oaks, CA.

The Sr. Manager will be critical to developing and evangelizing an in-depth understanding of the migraine consumer and defining and executing opportunities to continue to disrupt this competitive space leveraging diverse elements of the marketing mix and patient experience. They will partner heavily with internal and external cross-functional partners and be responsible for leading and managing patient focused initiatives, including strategy, creative development and execution at point of care, through the patient onboarding process, and follow up to support patient adherence. Additionally, the Sr. Manager will lead a direct report, responsible for asset development as well as integration with HCP marketing.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Support the development and implementation of an innovative consumer communications plan to convert patients at point of care and support adherence to therapy.
  • Lead development of creative briefs and creative strategy, ensuring connection with overall consumer marketing strategy and synergy with HCP communications.
  • Develop breakthrough creative across multiple channels, ensuring close collaboration with other consumer, HCP and Access marketing leaders, and synergy with existing campaigns.
  • Manage all elements of consumer point of care, onboarding and adherence plans, including strategy, objectives, KPIs and budget.
  • Lead strategic development and execution of point of care and adherence partnerships, maximizing ROI, value add and performance.
  • Leadership of agencies to hold them accountable to the highest standards of performance.
  • Development of adherence strategy and innovative tactics to drive loyalty.
  • Systematically develop and track metrics for POC/Adherence performance, including consumer engagement and brand loyalty measures, while linking to the broader success metrics of the brand.
  • Be the brand liaison and key support to access marketing and appropriate third-party partners.
  • Cross functional leadership to gain alignment in focus and timing with internal partners both strategically and tactically.
  • Lead key patient-related assets through legal/regulatory approvals.
  • Implement test and learns to support marketing innovation.
  • Leadership of direct reports, setting clear objectives, coaching and opportunities to develop marketing and leadership skill sets.


Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience

OR

Master's degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or Sales Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong technical marketing competencies to include: marketplace/consumer analysis and insight generation, consumer segmentation, brand positioning, brand sustainability (campaign/message platform development), execution excellence (multi-channel development and metric development/tracking).
  • Adept with multi-channel media plan development
  • Strong ability in both leading cross-functional teams, and in being a member of a cross-functional team
  • Strong communication effectiveness: The ability to effectively engage, connect, and influence senior management and the sales and marketing organizations
  • Ability to translate and communicate complex information/strategies into simple and impactful execution plans
