The Marketing Senior Manager will play an integral role in continuing the strong momentum of an incredibly successful launch for Parsabiv®; Amgen's innovative IV calcimimetic for patients with secondary HPT. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and highly motivated marketing team.

The Marketing Senior Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of integrated healthcare professional (HCP) and digital promotions including multichannel marketing campaign management, website creation, banner ads, search, online advertising, and print advertising. Professional marketing responsibilities will include strategy and execution of customer messaging platform, development and evolution of Parsabiv® Peer Advocate program, sales force tools and congress planning.

The successful candidate will also interface with the training team and sales force to ensure successful roll out of field materials throughout the year, including at sales meetings. This position will be responsible for leadership and cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners, including the MAC team, the sales force, training, the Reimbursement Access & Value (RAV) team, the Commercial Strategy & Analytics (CS&A) team, and external vendors.

This position will report to the Marketing Director of Parsabiv® and Sensipar® promotions.

Responsibilities include:
  • Design and execute innovative health care professional promotions initiatives in alignment with brand strategic imperatives and behavioral objectives
  • Develop sales force tools, materials and initiatives for prescribers, dialysis care team and patient education
  • Design and execute congress plan and initiatives to raise awareness and drive demand
  • In partnership with training, lead sales meeting planning and execution efforts
  • Act as marketing lead for multi-channel marketing campaign including creation of websites, email campaigns, search, online advertising, and print advertising
  • Act as marketing lead for strategy and execution using newly developed customer messaging platform including setting messaging and alignment with other marketing tactics
  • Regularly engage with sales leadership and the field to ensure development of high-impact, high-value marketing initiatives that drive growth of Parsabiv®
  • Work with CS&A to develop measurement plans and market research for materials and initiatives
  • Lead projects through Amgen's MAC review process to ensure responsible and effective communications
  • Coordinate the work of external vendors to ensure flawless execution of marketing initiatives
  • Partner with the multi-channel and access leads to ensure alignment with strategy and messaging
  • Effectively manage budgets
  • Domestic travel required (approximately 20%)


Basic Qualifications:

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

• Master's degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

• Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

• Associate's Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

OR

• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ yrs of experience in developing, executing, and measuring non-personal marketing campaigns products
  • Experience effectively partnering with and managing external agencies and vendors
  • Pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Collaborative team player with an ability to motivate and influence others
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly matrixed environment
  • Strong communicator with strong organizational skills
