Job summary:

Amgen has a Phase III asset in heart failure, omecativ meracbil which is rapidly approach launch. The global marketing Senior Manager will support the executive director, global marketing, heart failure, develop and execute pre-launch marketing strategies and resources that position omecamtiv mercabil for launch success.

Key responsibilities include:

Lead global organization with very strong region (particularly US) alignment in identification of most important Disease State Education (DSE) messages

Develop in conjunction with the agencies the creative DSE campaign

Execute the first phase of the DSE campaign at ESC-HF and HFSA

Execute the full blown DSE campaign (including new concept, messages and look) at AHA

Lead oversight of Global Agency of Record for DSE to develop, track and manage the DSE program projects/budget

Support Medical Affairs build a global scientific platform

Support establishing and executing the first global commercial HF advisory board

Generate and apply deep customer / competitive insights to inform commercialization and launch

Complete key Commercial Strategy deliverables in preparation for launch

Partner with regional representatives to deliver on innovative and differentiating go-to-market deliverables

Support in the development of the launch governance documents

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 1 year of Marketing experience


Master's degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 2 years of Marketing experience


Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 3 years of Marketing experience


Associate's degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 5 years of Marketing experience


High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or Sales including 6 years of Marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree and 3 or more years of marketing experience in the biopharma industry

Experience in a Strategic Regional Marketing or Global Marketing

Experience marketing to cardiologists

Experience building and optimizing digital solutions

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Knowledge of and experience in working with the promotions legal/regulatory environment

Competitive mindset, including ability to champion ideas, take decisions and deliver results

Strong leadership skills, including ability to influence teams with diverse backgrounds

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, experience producing business results, and outstanding organizational skills

Proven ability to proactively problem-solve in a matrix environment
