Job Details
This Grad Intern will be part of an innovative and interdisciplinary Hybrid Modality Engineering group, with responsibilities including the design, synthesis, and purification of novel compounds for delivery of oligonucleotides, novel chemical modifications, and mechanistic understanding of RNAi. The successful intern will have a strong experimental background in oligonucleotide chemistry and biochemistry.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute synthesis of novel chemical modifications for siRNA
• Synthesis, purification, and analysis of oligonucleotide analogs
Basic Qualifications
Amgen requires that all individuals applying for a grad internship at Amgen must meet the following criteria:
18 years or older
Completion as a first year graduate student before internship starts and currently enrolled in a PhD for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university
Enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship or co-op assignment
Must not be employed at the time the internship starts
Preferred Qualifications
Pursuing PhD with degree concentration(s) in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field
