Job Details
strategic options to ensure the long-term commercial success of Multiple Myeloma (MM) assets.
Recommendations will include: assessment of the competitive landscape to generate insights
and to anticipate competitive strategies; identifying what clinical trial data should be generated
to complement labeling and enhance scientific evidence to support the brand platform;
messaging platform strategies to leverage key lifecycle events including clinical trial readouts and
next generation device launches; and, assessment of technology options to enable a more
robust patient ecosystem or the capability to more accurately identify appropriate patients. This
will be accomplished by gaining a solid understanding of the therapeutic area, customer needs,
and insights into future drivers of customer choice.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in developing a very robust assessment of the future therapeutic landscape including deep insights into the customer, marketplace, competitors, and business drivers; extrapolating this assessment into an understanding of how the marketplace and customer needs may evolve over the next several years.
Working closely with the Insights and Brand Platform team to create a recommended set of data
generation options to complement labeling and the MM assets scientific platform.
Mapping out strategic options and recommendations to maximize key lifecycle events including key clinical trial data and next-generation drug delivery options
Working with internal Amgen technology, Patient Centricity and Customer Experience teams to assess and recommend new capabilities to enhance the product ecosystem and market penetration
Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Amgen Digital Health, Customer Experience, Market
Research, Development, Regulatory, Competitive Intelligence, Operations) in assessing long-term
strategic options.
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 4 years of marketing experience
OR
Master's degree and 7 years of marketing experience
OR
Bachelor's degree and 9 years of marketing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience with strong management skills
Successful product launch experience in country operations and/or global role
Relevant therapeutic area experience (sales, marketing and/or payer experience)
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across the matrix
Strong leadership skills, including ability to influence teams with diverse backgrounds
Excellent written, analytical and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze a business problem and develop an appropriate strategy
Strong business judgment and emotional intelligence
Act as a role model for others in line with Amgen values
Proven interpersonal skills and leadership and inspiration of cross function teams
