Lilly Neuroscience is seeking an experienced scientist to join the Neurodegeneration team to facilitate its mission of discovering novel medicines for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and other related neurodegenerative conditions. Do you have a strong background in performing/designing in vitro and in vivo studies? Have you developed or optimized biochemical assays required for the evaluation of neurodegenerative studies in vivo? You will lead a laboratory focused on developing small molecule therapeutics in close collaboration with other Neurodegeneration laboratories and Lilly's chemistry and biotherapeutic engineering divisions. - Perform discovery studies to elucidate novel targets and build internal expertise
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams for preclinical development of therapeutics and contribute as an integral team member for clinical development (discovery through full clinical implantation)
- Become an internal and external leader with vision for the field of neurodegenerative diseases
Basic Qualifications
- PhD and/or MD in Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Cell Biology, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant academic or industry experience.
Additional Skills/Preferences
- Strong publishing record in the field of neurodegenerative diseases.
- Deep understanding of assay development
- Deep understanding of Neurodegeneration literature
