Summary: Responsible for preparing budgets and forecasts for the development and commercialization of all of Regeneron's drug candidates.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Prepares IOPS (Industrial Operations and Product Supply) sections of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts:

• Including Operating expenses, drug supply, outside expenses, headcount and FTEs

• May require a total site operation or program specific perspective

• Works with CMC Program Managers on department CMC activities and work packages for quarterly collaboration reporting

• Works with Corporate & Program Finance to coordinate planning assumptions, breakdown and summary reporting of program cost projections

• Provides support for explaining variances between actual and budgeted results

• Works with Area managers and Human Resources to forecast/report headcount and FTE levels

• Provides reports and helps monitor expenses with various IOPS departments to ensure that all groups are staying within budget and/or adjusting their respective assumptions and forecasts

• Leads special financial analyses as assigned by Manager or either IOPS Finance or IOPS Senior Management

• Works with Engineering, Drug Product Manufacturing and Accounting departments on forecasting and tracking capital expenditures: explaining progress/variances and assisting in forecasting cash outflows

• Develops, builds and implements new models to automate regular analyses and reports

• Seeks ways to continually improve existing models, reports, etc.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Extensive knowledge in spreadsheet (MS Excel) and financial modeling

• Ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment

• Ability to work with a reasonable amount of uncertainty and provide best estimates with comfort and confidence

• Ability to understand and define issues, collect and analyze data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

• Ability to effectively communicate issues, results, financial drivers and ideas with peers and management (internal and external)

• Demonstrated interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

• Ability to build effective working relationships throughout the organization

• Working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications

• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint are a plus

Education and Experience:

• Requires BS/BA in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration with 3+ years of relevant analytical experience; MBA is a plus

• Accounting experience is strongly desired

• Experience in a manufacturing and/or science environment is a plus

• Resource planning experience is a plus

• Requires experience with Hyperion, Oracle, SAP or similar financial systems
