DNA Core facility provides Regeneron laboratories with services necessary for conducting scientific research. These services include, but not limited to, Nucleic Acid isolation and purification, Sanger DNA Sequencing, Cloning, Gene Expression and Genotyping. As a member of the DNA Core team, an individual is expected to perform the assignment in timely fashion and follow scientific protocols. In addition to daily responsibility, each Research Associate is expected to contribute to technology development by conducting experiments, leading to process improvement. Successful candidate should be able to troubleshoot technical issues and be able to clearly communicate with other team members.

  • Set up and run PCR reactions.
  • Set up, run, and maintain 3730XL sequencing instruments as well as other liquid handling systems.
  • Follow protocols and trouble shoot when necessary.
  • Work with a LIMs database.
  • Analyze data and assess quality.
  • Contribute to lab and equipment maintenance and order supplies and reagents.
  • Create a safe, effective and efficient working environment.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records consistent with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Laboratory work involves pipetting, computer work and communication with researchers.

  • Familiarity or willingness to learn Liquid Handling Systems such as Hamilton and 3730XL.
  • Nucleic acid handling and PCR.
  • Candidates must be flexible and be able to multitask while handling shifting priorities.
  • Communication and attention to details are a must.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
