Amgen is seeking a talented Software Engineer to build cutting edge innovative applications that shall be used by our large base of internal clients. The Software Engineer will work as part of the Operations Information Systems (OIS) organization supporting the Manufacturing, Facilities and Engineering functions. The position can be based at - Amgen Thousand Oaks, CA or Amgen Tampa, FL

Responsibilities:

Hands-on development of software applications. Serve as the Salesforce Subject Matter Expert on the OIS team.

Collaborate with IS business analysts, architects, Information security engineers and business users to design, develop and deploy technology solutions that drive innovation and productivity across Operations

Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree

OR

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Salesforce development and/or IS experience

OR

Associate's degree and 6 years of Salesforce development and/or IS experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Salesforce development and/or IS experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years Salesforce development experience with ability to work in a cross-functional team and under minimal technical direction on salesforce development activities
  • Experience with Salesforce.com development tools and techniques including: lightning components, APEX, triggers, controllers, Force.com SOAP and REST APIs, JSON, SOQL, outbound messaging, creating Visual Force Pages and deploying Salesforce Mobile Apps
  • Experience with UI design and web-based technologies like HTML5, CSS, Javascript and micro frameworks (e.g. jquery)
  • Experience using Salesforce's native functions (Custom objects, Flows, Reports and Dashboards, Permissions, etc.)
  • Solid knowledge of data structures, relational databases and SQL
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps
  • Experience participating in requirements and solution design workshops with IT and business stakeholders to provide analysis and solution design expertise that align with companies current and future needs
  • Detail oriented, problem-solving skills, and verbal/written communication
  • Salesforce Developer certification - (desired but not required)
  • Experience building native iOS, Android apps with Salesforce Mobile SDK (desired but not required)
  • Experience with Java development - (desired but not required)
  • Experience with Mulesoft application integrations - (desired but not required)
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) - (desired but not required)
  • Experience with Spotfire, Tableau, R, Hadoop - (desired but not required)
  • Experience with Time-series data analytics and engineering - (desired but not required)
