Strategic Planning & Operations Manager, Trade & Channel Development

The Trade & Channel Development team is responsible for ensuring patients and providers have access to Amgen products when and where they need it. The team manages relationships amongst Amgen's largest channel partners, including Full Line Wholesalers (ABC, McKesson, Cardinal), Specialty Distributors, Retail Chains (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart), and Specialty Pharmacies (Accredo, Prime, Diplomat) and are the internal subject matter experts on channel strategy. Trade Development is responsible for Amgen's US Sales, over $17B annually.

The Trade & Channel Development Strategic Planning & Operations Manager will be based in Thousand Oaks, CA and is responsible for supporting the Director and Account Executives to add value externally with our Channel Partners as well as internally with cross-functional stakeholders and business partners.

Key job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Account Support: developing Quarterly Business Reviews for each customer, responding to account inquiries, monitoring/reviewing performance metrics, build meaningful presentations for a broad audience
  • Project Management: assisting to develop the strategy and leading the execution of programs between internal and external stakeholders
  • Analytics: Strong analytical skills to develop ROI analyses on programs, Scenario planning analysis, Financial updates, Launch forecasting, Order/Inventory monitoring
  • Marketing liaison: providing feedback on all pharmacy or wholesaler related marketing content, including field messaging
  • Work cross functionally with Pricing & Contracting, Marketing, Sales, Legal, Operations
  • Travel up to 25%

Basic Qualifications:
  • Master's degree & 2 years of Marketing, Operations and/or Sales experience OR
  • Bachelor's degree & 4 years of Marketing, Operations and/or Sales experience OR
  • Associate's degree & 10 years of Marketing, Operations and/or Sales experience OR
  • High school diploma / GED & 12 years of Marketing, Operations and/or Sales experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Skills: project management, analytics and insights, solutions oriented, strong communication - written and oral, responsive, cross-functional collaboration, flexible/adaptable, accountable, attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, presentation preparation and delivery
  • Trade/Channel Experience
  • Account Management/Support Experience
  • Biotech/Pharmaceutical Experience
