Under general supervision, the Senior Manufacturing Process Technician (SMPT) will routinely perform a range of simple to complex processes per Standard Operating Procedure and will follow all applicable safety Procedures and current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMPs).

Specific responsibilities include: labeling, inspection and packaging of product-filled containers per procedures and batch records; performing routine maintenance and
cleaning of equipment, setting up and operating equipment and assisting or participating in other manufacturing operations (e.g., filling support activities); performing internal support operations (e.g. stocking items, tracking inventory, material movement), recognizing and reporting malfunctions and troubleshooting/adjusting to equipment per procedure and/or training; training new MPTs on routine tasks; ability to comprehend, and apply packaging configurations, as well as understand, follow and document batch records for the inspection and packaging process using Good Documentation Practices (GDPs); reconcile components and products and calculate product exposure to room temperature; act as a subject matter expert in one or more specific technical areas; periodically revise documents; may act in a team lead capacity including requiring direction/delegation of tasks to staff; make presentations to other staff and management; participate in project work. Working conditions involve repetitive use of hands, arms and eyes and require exposure to cold rooms and freezers.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

OR

Associate's degree & 4 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience

OR

High school diploma / GED & 6 years of Manufacturing & Operations experience

Preferred Qualifications:

-Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
-Ability to maintain focus during repetitious tasks over the course of a shift
-Ability to lift 25 lbs
-The SMPT must be willing to work various shifts in support of operations that may include 24/7 operations.
-Proficiency in reading and writing English
-Ability to assemble, disassemble, operate and understand simple to moderately complex equipment per procedures
-Ability to initiate and own process deviations in QMTS database
-Ability to document process tasks in electronic batch records
-Ability to complete training using Computer Based Training
-Ability to work effectively in an individual and team setting
-Capacity to follow written procedures, recognize and report malfunctions and make adjustments to equipment
-Ability to effectively train other staff with various learning styles
-Basic understanding of measurements, calculations and the metric system
-Basic organization skills
-Coachable, ability to take coaching/critique and show learned/measurable improvement
-Ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas through verbal and written form
Ability to perform assignments with a high degree of focus/attention to detail
-Ability to exhibit leadership skills in a group/team setting
